Study on SiPM performance at low temperatures between -60°C and -20°C

چکیده
Abstract Radon is the main background source of dark matter and neutrino experiments. concentration (mBq/m 3 ) measurement by liquid scintillation detector a highly sensitive method at low temperatures using silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) arrays. The SiPM performance characteristics are closely related to lower detection limit detector. In this study, we built an automatic accurate low-temperature system study single photoelectron (SPE) spectrum, SPE resolution, optical crosstalk, after-pulse different temperatures. As result, obtained variation trend parameters temperatures, optimal working conditions were obtained, which can improve detector's sensitivity.
